You are NOT alone. I’ve heard more and more in the past few years that women are uncomfortable going to the gym because:
They are embarrassed to be the “Newbie”
They feel like they are being looked at (maybe even judged)
They are afraid they will hurt themselves
They just don’t know what to do
This is EXACTLY why I created the Fit Beginnings program.
I do not want one woman sitting home that really has a desire to get strong and healthy simply because they don’t feel comfortable!
My WOMAN ONLY studio will help you to feel at ease and we will personally guide you through your first steps, including modifications for your fitness level and teaching you HOW to do the exercises correctly
Our new “Fit Beginnings” small group training sessions do just that… Start at the very beginning!
We’ll teach you proper movement techniques to keep you safe, help you learn new exercises to build confidence (and strength, modify exercises until you are ready for the next step and help you feel at “home” when working out.
This session is ONLY for beginners so no one will feel uncomfortable.

How It Works
- Fit Beginnings is a session for beginners only. Modifications to the exercises will be made accordingly to fit your needs.
- Phase 1: We will cover proper posture and core muscle engagement so that you will move safely through the next phases.
- Phase 2: You will learn the proper form for the basic exercises and movement patterns that you need as we build strength and stability in your muscles and joints.
- Phase 3: This is where we begin to increase the difficulty of exercises to help you get ready for the next step... Our small group training sessions
- You will receive simple exercises you can do at home to help you progress in strength and stamina.
When you feel ready to move on … you have a few options for continuing:
You can join in on one of my other small group training sessions if you feel ready
You can choose to do private trainig sessions – You and I , one on one
Ultimately this program is designed to give you wings so that you feel confident to join another group here at the studio and make way for new ladies just like you that want to get started on their own health journey!

We have all of our potential Fit Beginnings clients fill out an application
So that we can learn more about their bodies. We’ll hop on a call with you before you join so that we can make sure this program is a good fit for you
This is EXACTLY who this program is for. Because everyone in this program is a beginner there is no reason to be intimidated. We are all on the same level.
Life Happens. If you have to miss a session we allow for you to come to any of our other small group training sessions as a make up class. Don’t worry, our trainers will know that you are from the Fit Beginnings program and give you extra attention. We usually ask our Fit Beginnings ladies to wait until after week 2 to get their make up classes in just to make sure they have gained a certain level of confidence and ability. We want this to be a great experience for you all the way through!
Our whole mission here at Missi Balison Fitness is RESULTS… We do not want to hold anyone back!
If you find that you are much more fit than most of the members in fit beginnings we are happy to let you move over to our other small group training sessions for the remainder of your program. We encourage ladies to wait to do this until after Week 1 because we cover some very important foundational movements and muscle activation to teach you that will serve you well in your upcoming workouts… and your life!
Yes! Many of our ladies come to us before or after work. For your convenience we have a bathroom with shower as well as a massage room that can be used to change your clothes.
