March Client Spotlight

Every month we spotlight a different client here at Missi Balison Fitness, and this month we have chosen Kathy Weisz. Kathy started with us for the Fall 2019 Little Black Dress Project  and then the 2019 Holiday Hottie program.  She has done the work and gotten great results.  Kathy has the cutest, sparkly personality and we love so much about her.

Here is a bit of her story…

Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote?

Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?

I have a goal weight but it’s really about being comfortable in my body the clothes I wear. For me it’s all about comfort with myself!

Q: What is your “word” of the year?!

Balance (Family, Career, Home, Fun)

Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?

I am focused on continuous improvement all around, no one grows from being stagnant!

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?

Well, I stalked Missi for about a year via her website and Facebook events I would see (Missi interjecting here… I hear this a lot so if this is you… Go for it! Shoot us an email at the bottom of this post! :). I finally got to the point where I was ready to commit to something because I was feeling pretty disgusted with myself. I am so happy I finally tried it! Sometimes just taking the first step is the hardest.

Q. What made you decide to want to join Missi Balison Fitness?

I needed to do something and I, again, saw an event on Facebook and told myself that it was a sign to finally sign up.

Q: What did you THINK training was going to be like vs what it actually was or what you received?

I did not expect the close-knit client community Missi has built. I did not expect to look forward to classes and seeing other clients and laughing while exercising. I have to be honest, I really do not like purposeful exercise but Missi and the gals make it fun and almost a place to escape to!

Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?

In my first session of Little Black Dress I lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks! I am now taking on the Survivor Challenge and hope to get close to my goal weight. Also, I did a plank for over 2 minutes which completely shocked me.(Missi again, I LOVE THIS PART! >>> ) I continue to surprise myself in the physical things I did not know I could do.

Q. What kinds of results have you achieved so far?

12+ lb weight loss, stronger, I have less aches and pains (I attribute to diet shift and movement), mentally satisfied that I am doing something for me!

Q: How has Missi Balison Fitness made a difference in your life?

I definitely would not be where I am today- much healthier and happier!

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?

It is so hard to take the first step but it is so worth it and you will wish you had done it sooner! Missi, KaSarah and all the clients are so easy to talk to and supportive- it’s all about the supportive community that makes the change and commitment less scary. You are not alone!


Kathy has been such a joy to have at the studio!! Watching people grow, change, socialize, and blossom are some of our FAVORITE parts of the Missi Balison Fitness community. Kathy has a very busy life with her job at Litehouse, being a wife and having two busy boys but we love how she has made time to take care of herself so she can do ALL of these things better!
